FUSE Violin Band Releases New Single – “FUSED Adagio”
FUSE violin band’s Linzi Stoppard, the global electric violinist, looks sharp as she takes London by storm and is the fiddler on the roof at the iconic department store Selfridges to celebrate the launch of FUSE’s new single; ‘Fused Adagio’, available to download from iTunes from Wednesday 24 February.
Paying homage to one of the most popular composers of the 20th century, Samuel Barber, FUSE have recorded and arranged a new and fresh adaptation of the emotive classical track, Adagio For Strings.
The production is a warm concoction of familiar melodic string lines and bold beats to bring the track to a climatic crescendo.
FUSE are virtuoso musicians Linzi Stoppard and Ben Lee, who harness their bespoke signature Bridge electric violins and take rock tracks that people love and know and radically but lovingly reinterpret them.
Linzi says: “It’s completely fresh; no one thought that what we do was even possible.
The style that we use when we play is more akin to that of a guitar player, with more soul and electricity – literally! We chose work from artists that are huge stadium acts, and that’s where we want to be.
It is that big and that powerful – get some ear plugs! We specialise in blowing away people’s preconceptions.”
The sound that FUSE generates takes serious know-how and technical skill. Their instruments are the world first-ever 24carat golden violins, adorned with Theo Fennell’s signature gem encrusted skulls on the scrolls.
FUSE have invented new ways to render melodies that were vocal on original tracks.
